Model & Strategy.

Descriptor.

Stories of Consent uses digital story collection as a powerful model to collect stories of consent. Our mission is to contextualize what affirmative consent looks like through community-based education.

Problem.

Currently, more than half of states in the U.S. use the slogan “no means no” as their core description of consent in sex education. As a result, extensive studies demonstrate that young people consistently fail to interpret what consent looks like. This results in unhealthy sex and sexual violence, both of which have extremely negative impacts on young people’s mental health.

Solution.

Stories of Consent creates a safe place for people to share their stories of consent. By sharing personal stories, we’re hoping to provide tangible examples from young people on how consent can look and feel during sex.
