Apply for a LookUp.live Balance Grant

LookUp.live Balance Grants foster youth-designed innovations that shift social norms toward greater tech-life balance for students and young adults. Balance Grant opportunities are offered annually in partnership with our higher-education and network partners.  

The submission portal for 2020 Balance Grant Applications has closed.  The 2021 Round will reopen in September.

Key Dates Dates for 2020 Network Applicants

  • March 15th, 2020           Applications Due 

  • Mar 21, 2020                 Winners notified (Midnight ET)

  • Apr 25,2020                   LookUp Virtual Forum 

  • Apr 26 - Dec 11, 2020     LookUp Incubator

Eligibility

  • Applicants can be an individual or a team of students

  • All applicants must currently be enrolled full-time in a higher-educational institution 

  • Network Grant Applicants must be affiliated with either Active Minds or Design for America

  • At least one member of the team must be an underclassman to ensure that campus-focused initiatives are sustainably executed 

  • Applicants must have a faculty adviser that will support this effort

Restrictions

  • LookUp.live does not disperse funds to individuals

  • Grant values will range between $1,500 and $5,000

  • Grant funding will only be dispersed through an academic institution or network associations (clubs or charters that have independent bank accounts will be considered)

  • Applicants must be able to travel to and attend the LookUp Collaborative Summit (A limited number of travel scholarships may be available)

  • Applicants may only apply for ONE Balance Grant each year.  You may not apply for a Network Grant and Higher-Ed Grant
